World Footprints introduces former NBC News correspondent and Middle East Bureau Chief, Martin Fletcher, who will share his book , Walking Israel. Martin's book chronicles his adventures and insights as he walked along the coast of Israeli. We will discuss some of the misperceptions of Israel and why a visit to the historic country is worth considering. Then, the art of human rights in the African Nation of Eritrea takes center stage as we introduce you to artist and activist Elsa Gebreyesus who is using her art to encourage hope, preserve history and fight political oppression across an ocean. Finally, “Who-ville” comes alive and everyone from Horton to the Cat in the Hat raises awareness of a variety of social issues when curator Bill Dreyer takes us inside the art of Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss). Bill represents the Art of Dr. Seuss and he will tell us why Dr. Seuss was ahead of his time with his art and its commentary on everything from discrimination, the environment, to the state of the economy.
