The focus of Discussing Reasonable Faith is truth. The information age has begotten turmoil, and information overload has become chronic. Yet it seems that the more information we have, the less peace the average person has. There is a tremendous amount of quantity, but quality seems of have become scarce. To many, an impression has developed that modern science has disproven the existence of the supernatural, and doomed us to a sterile, pointless wandering in the wilderness of minutiae. This couldnt be further from the truth! A reasonably skeptical look at modern philosophy, science, archeology and history point overwhelmingly in a single direction, and the truth that it points to is blissful and eternal. There are also heresies on the other end of the spectrum such as “Fideism”, which is the idea of just believing in something blindly. Yet the word translated as “faith” in the New Testament (“pistis”) is more akin to our word “trust”. As the 1st line in 11 chapter of the Book of Hebrews says: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”, so we see that this is not meant to be blind at all. Believing in things without reason is neither Biblical nor wise, so I'll be addressing errors of that sort as well. From time to time I may comment on current events of the day as well, because analyzing the hidden assumptions and propaganda (not to mention the raw foolishness) within it can be quite illuminating.
