Republicans are advocating that it is ok to leave our soldiers behind enemy lines. If this is their new mantra, how will that affect the morale of our soldiers? Are our men and women less likely to join the military? Will they be less effective on the battlefield out of fear that their commander may leave them behind enemy lines if captured? Such a policy will surely weaken our military and our republic.
