Executive Orders are perhaps, one of the most controversial actions, a president makes. As we have in the United States' system of government, a presumption of a check of presidential powers by Congress, it becomes understandable how they may feel left out of the ?loop?, unless these Orders are absolutely necessary for the benefit of the whole. As such, Earlier this week, Speaker John Boehner announced plans to file suit against President Obama, over alleged abuse of executive power, with regards to Executive Orders; his argument being, the president's use of Executive Orders as a violation of law, with as he described, ?arrogance and incompetence?. Perhaps, Obama's own suggestion that he use his own ?pen? as a means of bypassing a Congress he perceives as being unwilling to work with him, fuels this perception. However, Obama has dismissed the plan as a ?stunt?. The Supreme Court ruled on a number of issues, including a 9-0 decision which ruled unconstitutional, Obama's ?recess? appointments to the National Labor Relations Board. Did you hear that Immigration ?Reform? (i.e. unbridled illegal immigration) is dead? I find this interesting, in light of the deluge of children into the country in recent weeks. Also on the table: The other SCOTUS decisions Follow-up on Global Warming (now, conveniently known as Climate Change) In NYC, the end of Stop-and-Frisk has meant an increase in shootings! Whose' Billionaires – Republicans or Democrats?
